we all need a little sparkle in the day to get us through the monotonous sludge of office life. a little glitter when stuffing envelopes, a little pizazz when fielding awkward customer queries, a little dazzle for the data entry. so my daily shot of frivolous, impractical office fashion is a nifty little set of rings i picked up in topshop on a whim last night. holy mother of mountains batman, was there a selection in store. i was meeting the mammy in arnotts and got sidetracked by an Aladdins cave of ringtastical magic. stacked rings, cocktail rings, animal rings, broaches-as-rings, obnoxiously large rings, glunge-y rings*, goth rings…the list goes on an on. how many rings is too many? what a ridiculous question. pile them on. like a persian matriarch.

these babies came as a pack and set me back ten yo yos. was floating around the shop with about 8 different sets of rings on, so i came out with quite a modest bounty, but i am still waiting for my galibardy knuckleduster…
* glunge = glamour and grunge. guess where i picked that up? my male colleague. apparently he’s been getting the low down from the weekend style supplement in the times. i knew i was beginning to crack them.
