Neckin' it to the Festival

what is no festival complete without? forget wellies, toilet roll and dutch gold. think wilfully obscure, whimsical, fanciful jewellery from tatty devine. the collection is twee, retro, naff and trendy. some of the pieces are so nostalgic – remember fancy-paper and sticker collecting? pierrot the clown stationary? hobby horses? plastic rings? bleedin’ love it. some of my hoping-to-purchase necklaces below, followed by a collection of their broaches and rings. totally over-priced at times, and some stuff could be fashioned at home using bits ‘n bobs found under the couch. but still, fanciful is the name if the game on this one. specially considering you’ll most likely give it away to some random Liverpudlian during a love buzz. or leave it in a portaloo.

oh my. i was the queen of fancy paper collecting. that was good man. why did that fad die out and why did those bratz dolls replace childhood nostalgia?

i’ve always loved that dino necklace.
