The Sartorialist took his inimitable (or all-pervasive?) street-snapping style to Tokyo recently and returned with a bevy of non-Harajuku/Manga/Superhero snaps. Turns out that Harajuku style is not endemic and people like to experiment in more conservative or directional ways too.

Japan style is awesome. I would love to visit there – you could, quite literally, wear anything in the world, and no one would bat an eyelid.
I’d love to step out in a really fuck-off sharp suit, say vivienne westwood or the like, and wear a teapot for a hat.
