Kirk, Kirk – Can you hear me Kirk?

Nicholas Kirkwood designed some shoesies for the Keith Haring Foundation. Haring was the 80′s pop artist extraordinaire – you’ll recognise the print instantly.  Kirkwood wanted to incorporate Haring’s graphics into his own shoe designs. I’m not digging it.

Which is sad, as I do love a good Nicholas Kirkwood shoe (not that I’m able to afford them mind), but I just think these are ridiculous. Homage all you like, but these just look  a little stoopid. Although, if they are just collectors items for presentation in glass cabinets, then I’m all aboard. But the fact I can see Paloma Faith in them is such a turn off.

yeah and it annoys me that she’s super famous so quickly for something i can’t really discern as a talent. oh hang on, she sings does she? or does burlesque perhaps? i don’t know. that’s the point. god im such a grouch.
