A-Wear Shoesies: how do they fare?

The long anticipated shoe range from A|wear has finally landed in store, currently they are in six selected stores across the country at the mo and online at www.awear.com.  I was in the Grafton street store today and had myself a little mooch! By no means groundbreaking, but a good price range and there are a few finds in there… Prices range from €45 for ballet pumps and go up for €149 for leather boots.I would imagine the best is yet to come, considering this is the first collection! Although, I gotta say, I  find generally with A|wear, that frustratingly there can be a lack of consistency through the seasons with them, sometimes you can pick up a cracker of a dress and other days I can leave un inspired and empty handed- time will tell if their shoe range will be the same. What I will say is when they do get it right, it’s normally bang on and really well priced, much cheaper than other competitors like River Island & Topshop…  Plus, the Autumn/ Winter shoe range definitely ticks many of the current trend boxes, from feathers to shearling, studs and buckle details…
My picks are as follows:

Teal peeptoe shoeboot €99 (also available in black)

Prune courtshoe with bow detail €59

Pink studded peeptoe €69 (also in black)

Silver jewel trimmed pump €49

One of the show stoppers in my opinion is a taupe sandal platform with feather detail, which would be perfect for a night on the town (I refuse to say for Christmas parties, cuz I’m just not ready for the Crimbo mayhem yet!!!) No product shot of this badboy (except in the main image!) And they don’t seem to be available on line so, get thee to A|Wear to check ‘em out for yourself!

The collection is available now in A|wear Grafton St, Henry St, Dundrum, Patrick St Cork, Waterford, Castlebar & www.awear.com
