Is it Friday already? Hallelujah! Get your jingly jangly glad-rags on (or Halloween costumes if yissers are dressing up) and hit the town like there’s no tomorrow/recession (or in my case… work!)
I’m on a maaaajor jewellery tip this week so I am kicking off the lusting with this cuff from Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow 1960. I’m still loving the Aztec stuff that she’s putting out and this cuff makes me come over all unnecessary. You can get it on My-Wardrobe for about 210 squids but by my eagle eye has clocked it on ebay for a wee bit less. Hmmmm… I could add it to the Christmas list… I wonder will my boyfriend be having an aul read of this post today….
Merle O' Grady Gradient Pendant
Next up is this GO-WUR-JUS necklace by Irish jewellery designer, Merle O’ Grady. I’d wear every piece she has in her A/W 2010 collection but this is the one I’m dying to get my hands on. I love how you could wear it to a black tie do or over a tee shirt. God this lusting is really taking it out of me. I think it’s turning into yearning. That could end up turning into pining. I haven’t the energy for pining… Sheesh!
Markus Lupfer Sequined skull merino-wool sweater
Next up is Jennie’s object of desire by Markus Lupfer. She’s lusting after this since she spotted it in last Sunday’s Times Style Magazine. Well done Jen for getting a little Halloween into your Friday Flash Lust. Net a Porter says “wear this skull-embellished style with spray-on skinnies and your highest heels for drinks downtown.” I’d wear it to Tesco!

Jen’s also craving a little Ashish in her life. I didn’t know it was possible to gay-up the Seattle grunge look but whattya know? Add tiiiight black jeans, heels and some bleached-blonde-hair-with-roots and you’ll show up all those women at the bar, who are trying waaay too hard. (Warning! Trying to look like you haven’t tried will set you back nearly 1500 euro. Ouch!)
Adidas windbreaker goes to Funkytown
Next up is Rebecca’s lust which is sending a chill up my spine. For this garment is a practical, pre-emptive strike against the aul Big Freeze they’re predicting for us again this winter. Well, hopefully this Adidas jacket will deliver a Miss Piggy HIIIIIIYA! to any wind and rain we encounter. And, if last year was anything to go by, Rebecca also thinks it looks like it might cushion the tumble she’ll undoubtedly take if we face the same conditions again. Ah yes, let the YouTubes of people snotting themselves begin again…
Grace’s object of lust this week is a camel coat. But which one? There are shitloads in the shops at the moment, but Grace can’t seem to find one that’s the right shape/shade/cut for her. What she wants is a coat that’s edgy enough but with a hint of a classical cape. Any designers out there low on inspiration? Grace can be your brains!
