On a scale of one to glamour, where do nails, tea and knitting sit? On top that’s what. Last night myself and Aideen meandered down to the Tim Ryan Trunk Show in Bow. Tim Ryan is the rising superstar of Irish knitwear and deals exclusively in show-stopping dresses, neck pieces and capes. Less of the Aran sweater and more of the glitz thank you very much. Signature details include shimmery fringing (each individual strand burnt by hand) and exquisite neon-tinged panels and lovely ruffles. His stuff makes you seriously proud to be Irish. Price wise – a little out of my range unfortunately, but definitely on a wish list. Sonya Lennon was there with the man himself, modeling one of his delicious pieces. As a by-the-by, Lennon is launching her new website Dais tonight – an homage to the Irish fashion industry – definitely one to watch.
