A sketch through WWIWT 2010

Well, as a belated kick-start into this beautiful, glorious New Year (I’ve got a  good feeling everyone that 2011 is going to be the end of this god-almighty recession, notoriously depressing climate and insufferable Mikado biscuits and Aran sweaters associations-well, a girl’s gotta have dreams and all that), we’d like to bring you a collection of some of our highlights over the past year here at What Will I Wear Today.

Bex and 'Becks'

First to mention would be our trek around town catching all ye fashionable peops at Dublin’s Festival of Fashion. Our very own Bex managed to catch TV’s Becks (of Dan and Becks), otherwise known as Lavely-Holly White in BT2s, where she was styling their fashion shows over the weekends. Catch her interview again here-When Bex met Becks

Sarah. Posing beside a tree

We had a number of mini-’shoots’ in our backyard over the year, that’s generally what happens when you get six sisters all back together with a new purchase in tow. Sarah rocked some successful festival looks in anticipation of getting to any concert over the summer with her new parka. I’m thinking her looks might carry through to 2011 aswell…One Parka: Two Sleeves. A True Story

Jen with no face eating the cutest hamburgers around. And, oh yeah, being really fashionable, and stuff

One of our brightest, sparkliest and, um, glitteriest, highlights of the year was winning the ONLY jeans Fashion Blog award. With it came a host of fun and fashionable antics, including Jen making a trip to meet other fashion bloggers from around Europe in Copenhagen, and also checking out their A/W collection show in an airport hangar with an EDDIE ROCKETS CHIP VAN! So easily sold…Full coverage of the event here

Rachel already snaking Sarah's hat, still warm from her head...nice move

It was the year for Ireland’s very own fashionable high-street store, A-Wear to turn the silver 25 years, and a team of the WWIWT troops swarmed to the anniversary event to catch a glimpse of the up-coming collections, hear Laura Whitmore throw down some tunes, and avail of the free flowing Bulmers. Unfortunately the snaps were limited (possibly due to this free flowing Bulmers), but have a sconce at some of the girl’s purchases…Hat’s Off

Tavianna threw herself a fashion tantrum on WWIWTTV

2010 saw the launch of WWIWTTV, our video blogging featuring some of the fashionable events we snaked, fashionable interviews we snagged, and of course, us just having the fashionable craic.  TAVIanna, the self-proclaimed fashion god, is definitely worth catching up on again…TAVIanna Interview

Just chillin with Cutrone you know

And finally not to forget, possibly one of THE greatest moments of fashion history, KELLY CUTRONE’S interview with Jennie and Aideen. A few bottles of vino were shared and alas Kelly didn’t let down in her signature quick-wit and straight-to-the-point ballsy attitude.  Make sure to catch Ireland’s truer version of The Hills to rival Fade St…Finally: Cutroned (Video, Radio and Photo)

And while there were lots of other lavely-javely happenings worth mentioning here at WWIWT, unfortunately darn duty calls and the sketchbook goes back under the bed for the forseeable future, but here’s a few more of our picks if you fancy having a good aul WWIWT catch-up.
