I love award season. The golden globes left me a bit cold however and there are no words for the monstrocities that appeared at the National TV awards (cheryl love put the tramp stamp away). However, the big one is coming and in four weeks it will be OSCAR time.
So I was thinking of Oscars past and of the dress winners and dress losers.
One of my favourite ever dresses was Cate Blanchett in 2005, if anyone had ever suggested to me putting pale yellow and burgundy together would be a good look I would have laughed but the two worked so well on this dress and really changed my view on wearing yellow ( I was previously afraid of wearing yellow and I still am a little ).
One of my all time fashion horrors was Gwnyeth Paltrow. It was Alexander McQueen and it was unflattering. Not only did it do nothing for her frame (my dear god the boobage and lack of support is horrendous). It was then styled so badly with the slicked back hair and overdone eyes. It really makes you wonder what is the point of stylists in Hollywood.
