Spotlight on De Loup Designs and Capulet and Montague

Well what a way to brighten up your day with none other than two brand new fashion labels to lust over! Actually not even lust over, these two designers have created unique collections of swooshy, edgy apparel, and graphic bold ‘look-at-me’ statement jewellery, completely within your realistic price range-swoon! AND, these guys are part of the new wave of our very own Irish design and style talent, which just makes my heart melt a little…

NCAD graduate Amy Woulfe Flanagan started her clothing label De Loup Designs only a short wee time ago. Consisting of handmade limited edition apparel, her first collection, she describes, is set to CRANK UP YOUR HAWTNESS-something that we here at What Will I Wear Today wholly admire! Her SS’11 Jersey Collection is full of swooshing, sexy t-shirts, and slinky maxi dresses, with a palette full of nudes and burnout blacks, and shots of neon yellow and pink to keep the onlookers guessing! We also love her blur-die printed t-shirts…a grown-up, sophisticated version of tie-die! A jewellery collection full of chainmail bibs and chain links tied with neon pink lycra provide an added splash of edge to transform simple tees and basics. You can find De Loup Design’s ahmahzing new collection, in a range of unique fabric and colour combinations, in the Atelier 27 Designer Showroom, above Om Diva, 27 Drury St.

Capulet and Montague

Multi-cord Necklace

‘Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration, motivation and a pinch of creativity’

-a perfect self-description for Capulet and Montague’s designer Lisa McCormack’s unique and edgy approach to jewellery design. McCormack’s enthusiasm for creativity and excitement oozes from her bespoke graphic jewellery pieces, all in hot bright colours, and stand out statement designs, able to brighten up even the simplest of outfits! Her current range, also available in the Designer Showroom in Atelier 27, is inspired by close family and friends, and new shapes not usually associated with jewellery, making for an incredibly eclectic collection. We love the acidic coloured Pixel necklace, and the attention grabbing Multi-Cord necklace!
