Grrr. Arrgh. Grraarrggghhh. Not only do I not have some lovely, fabulous and glamourous sandals for my upcoming trip to France, but I now have to start focusing on footwear for A/W (why do we actually bother trying to differentiate between the seasons in Ireland? Always nonplussed on that one). And what a boot conundrum that is. Well, not really a conundrum, more a cost-benefit-ratio-analysis-price-per-wear-practicality-blurb-jargon-blurb issue. Boots are in. Plain and simple (hmmm, boots are IN every year when you think about it…) Like it obviously has to be some variation on the Chelsea boot, but how high is the heel? Do I want studs? Do I want tassles? Do I want animal print? Do I want chains? Do I want buckles? Or do I simply want to buy the pair I can afford? Sadly, they will be sans bells and whistles. And did anyone ever conceive there would be SO MANY detail variations on a pair of ankle boots?
