A-Wear goes 70s-licious
Here’s a wee preview of what will be hitting the rails in A-Wear this month. As we all know by now, the 70s looks is big this season. I’m not sure if I can go back to flares, myself now. But there are ways to dip your toe in the trend by just wearing cute pussy-bow blouses or shearling coats, wooly polo-necks or wrap-around dresses.
Naturally this is the part where I add that it’s good to support oirish brands, but here’s another reason. If like me, you get INCENSED by the wonky sterling mark-up in the likes of Topshop, River Island and other British high street stores, here’s a way to vote with your feet and exercise your power as a consumer. Avoid them and get your 70s look somewhere else…
If I’m honest, I’m not sure if A-Wear is as cutting edge as those aformentioned retail powerhouses. But we don’t need cutting edge if you work in your typical Irish office. And primary school teachers can do without the raised eye-brows of parents on the school run, wha?
Here’s why I love this dress…
Cos it kinda reminds me of this one the Mila Kunis wore to an awards show in the US this year. (And anything that reminds you of MK cannot be bad, eh?)
