Guest Post: In Search of THE ONE

I LOVE leather jackets.
I have two at the mo; one from River Island that’s seen better days but I can’t throw it away (in my opinion it looks waaaaay better with all the rips and worn out patches than it did brand new anyways). The other is a more dressier, shorter-styled Guess one that can dress up or dress down any outfit….bit of a multi-tasker so it is.

As much as I love each one, what I reeeeeally want is a sort of in between to the two of them. A more biker-ish style perhaps, bit of a lapel, some form of design, maybe even a few tassels, something like that. Apparently that’s too much to ask though…..finding the ultimate leather jacket is proving to be a challenge. For the past year or so I’ve been rummaging around the shops, on and off, in search of the jacket I have in my head but still, nada.

So I’ve decided that now I have to actually start putting in a bit of effort, not just looking now and again; bit more shopping, bit more searching the internet….

At a glimpse, from some excessive googling…a couple contenders both within my price range and outside look not too shabby….heres a looksie at what I’ve been eyeing up so far…

3.1 Philip Lim Ruffled Leather Jacket (€1030)

Definitely not within my price range but window shopping IS allowed…..

Sandro Vegas leather and knitted biker jacket (€560.50)

Still a bit pricey but I’m just looking….

Vintage 80’s leather jacket on Asos Marketplace (€92)

Oooo……

……and the pursuit begins!
