Guest Post: My Crush, Zooey Deschanel

Ok so New Girl has quickly become my new fave show on the telly-box…..I don’t think I’m alone in saying I LOVE Zooey Deschanel.

She’s been missing from both the big and small screens it seems, since 500 days of Summer. She’s now back every Friday night on Channel 4 as Jess, the slightly naive, quirky, theme-tune-singing-to-every-day-life teacher, who, after being dumped by her cheating boyf, has ended up living in an apartment with three guys she found on t’internet…..as ya do.

Aside from the dramatics of Jess and the wondering when her and Nick will get together (they have to!), the show gives us a mini glimpse into the Deschanel’s enviable wardrobe of cutesie dresses. My fave so far has been the red number from the Thanks Giving episode. But off the show, Ms D. manages to pull it outta the bag and chooses some winners for the never-ending red carpet lifestyle that she leads as well as for her normal (well…her idea of normal) everyday life too.

The nail art that she chooses to go with her uber-glam looks is equally fantastical. For the Screen Writers Guild Awards, she even managed to theme her nails with the event choosing a text based design – clever missy! Or for the Golden Globes she had them painted like a tuxedo to contrast with her lady-like Gucci gown. I like. My fave of them all though has to be this Beatles inspired one….fancy!

Aside from her pretty alrigh’ taste in fashion, her choice of friendies isn’t half bad either. Look who she’s sittin next to waitin’ on a subway with…..

I WANT to be friends with Alexa….

.. AAAAAND the main reason I am sooooo jealous of her is she gets to hang out with Joseph Gordon-Levitt (maaaaaajor crush on him!)…
