The Satchel. Or is it?
Was having a stroll through town yesterday and spied this darling little satchel. Look at it there with it’s dainty neon illustration, it’s cute little handle and it’s perfectly proportioned pockets. How charming! How quaint! A sturdy strap complements the whimsy of the pink and it will hold just-enough-stuff. So few bags offer that type of service these days. Can’t you just imagine yourself jaunting about town in it? Meeting the girls for frappucinos, dashing into a humanities lecture, bringing a bit of ‘pop’ into your business meeting.

A bit of satchel-action is perfect for a jaunt ’round town…
Now, SCRAP THAT.
Imagine your 5-year old niece meeting the girls for organic smoothies or dashing into her playschool finger-painting class. This is a bag for a child! Spotted in a kids shop. This super-cool, hip and urban piece of baggage apparatus is aimed at the under-10′s.
I was conned. Completely and utterly. When did kid’s fashion become so cutting-edge? In my day, it was all sailor-trim and hand-me-downs and garish leggings and giant hairbands. The shame. I wonder could I post a whole series of adult outfits based around children’s clothes? Would people be any the wiser? Hmmmm. I might have to sneak it in and run a competition to see if anyone guesses.
What Will I Wear Today?
