Una Burke showcased her Twister Candy collection inside Somerset House at London Fashion Week

My knowledge of Una Burke is that she’s a talented Irish lady, specializing in dramatic, twisted leather accessories. And she’s dressed Lady Gaga. I like a bit of ‘out-there’ dressing, but Lady Gaga might be a little bit too much for me. Burke’s work is high-concept, sculptural…almost architectural. Then I encountered the Twisted Candy collection at LFW – the offering was dramatic but wearable, high-concept but functional. I was sold. Alongside a line of beautiful graphic scarfs, there were twisted necklaces, belts, corsets and bracelets…all leather bound, but wrapped in a plastic palette. Tough but girly and utterly statement.
